Wishing Well Barn History
The Welch Family, Plant City Farm Family
Mr. Robert Welch bought this Plant City farm in 1960 and moved his family of five children here with his wife, Polly. Mr. Welch farmed cattle on this land over the years alongside strawberries, oranges, and many other fruits and vegetables. There was always a special place in his heart for cattle. Blake & Michelle Welch continue this family tradition with a love for cattle ranching and blueberry farming. Sharing the bounty of nature with our Wedding guests is such a blessing and we hope to share our love for people by serving them to the best of our ability. Adapting our barn and farm into a Plant City Wedding Venue has enabled us to bring families back to the farm for one of their families best days!
Blake & Michelle, Wishing Well Barn, Tampa Bay Area Wedding Venue Owners
Blake manages the cattle ranch and blueberry and flower farm, and Michelle is the Wedding Venue Manager, Wedding Designer, and Coordinator. Together, we have five sons and their families. Our family starts with our oldest son Kyle and Railynne, and our grandkids, Calleigh Jo, Ryker and Walker. Next are Cory and Jessica and our grands, Cullen and Codie. Next in line is Daniel and Olivia, with our grands, Easton, Case and Sunny and Bryson. And, last, but not least, are Dillon and his wife, Katie. Sassy is our furriest of family members and Daisy is our kitten🙂 We started our Plant City Wedding Venue when three of our boys were married within one calendar year! Their friends and friends of friends started asking if they could get married here on the farm, and so, we added agricultural events to our cattle and blueberry farm!
