Why Wishing Well Barn Is One of the Best Rustic Wedding Venues in Florida

Bride and groom share a kiss under a floral archway during an outdoor wedding ceremony

When Blake and Michelle Welch hosted three sons’ weddings within one year, with two of them happening on their family’s blueberry and cattle farm, they discovered something. The property that their family had worked on since 1960 made people feel at home. Today, we’ve hosted over 1,500 events at Wishing Well Barn, and that feeling hasn’t changed. We have a back-up plan for almost any challenge!

Wishing Well Barn is a 50-acre working farm venue in Plant City, Florida, offering a full-service, all-inclusive wedding experience. The air-conditioned barn features chandeliers and rustic charm, while outdoor ceremony spots include oaks, ponds, and blueberry fields. Couples enjoy vendor coordination, full setup and teardown, and dedicated planning support for up to 299 guests.

We’re located on 50 acres in Plant City, about 45 minutes from both Orlando and Tampa. The barn itself is air-conditioned and lit with chandeliers and twinkling lights overhead. Outside, you’ll find blueberry fields, pastures with cattle, a fountain-fed pond, and majestic oaks that frame ceremony spots across the property.

What makes us different is that we handle the details so you can focus on your guests. Our all-inclusive packages mean you’re not coordinating a dozen vendors on your own. We’ve built relationships with caterers, photographers, DJs, florists, and officiants who know the property. You choose from our approved lists, and we take care of the rest.

A Working Farm Venue Where Every Detail Is Handled

Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming when you’re juggling vendors, timelines, and setup. At Wishing Well Barn, our all-inclusive approach removes that stress so you can enjoy your celebration.

The Spaces and How Your Day Flows

You have full-day access to the barn, the Bridal Cottage, and the Groom’s Tack Room. The Bridal Cottage seats up to 18 people and has two salon chairs, a couch, and great natural light for getting ready photos. The Groom’s Tack Room has a pool table, big-screen TV, private bar, and access to our gun ranges and fishing lake.

For the ceremony, you can choose from multiple locations across the 50 acres. Some couples prefer the oaks, others want the blueberry fields, or a spot near the pond. We’ll walk the property with you during your free tour.

What We Handle So You Don’t Have To

Our crew takes care of setup, service, and complete teardown. That includes the ceremony arch and aisle décor, all table linens, glassware, china, and real linen napkins. We set up the custom farm tables and centerpieces based on the Pinterest boards you share with us during unlimited planning sessions.

You get a dedicated wedding designer and event coordinator who’ll meet with you as many times as you need. On the day, our team manages the flow so you’re not checking timelines or troubleshooting.

We provide the bartender, glassware, coffee station, lemonade, and teas. Weather permitting, we’ll set up a bonfire with a s’mores station. Floral services are included, silk florals come standard, and we also provide an officiant.

The Vendors We Work With

We’ve curated a list of catering vendors, 8 photographers, DJ companies, and 4 bakeries. These are professionals who’ve worked on our property before and understand the rhythm of events here. You’re not locked into one option per category. You can choose Johnson’s Barbecue for something casual or 3 C’s Catering for a plated dinner.

Why Couples Keep Choosing Us

We’ve been doing this since 2012. It’s partly the property, the barn with its vintage character, and the open land that gives guests room to breathe. But it’s also the fact that we treat people like family and handle the logistics so you can be present with your guests.
