When Blake and Michelle Welch hosted weddings for three of their sons in a single year, they discovered their working farm wasn’t just scenery. It was where families naturally gathered, relaxed, and celebrated without typical venue stress.
That insight drives everything we do at Wishing Well Barn. Since 2012, we’ve hosted over 1,500 events on our 50-acre property in Plant City, learning what families need most: space to be together, service handling the details, and a setting that feels personal.
What Makes a Venue Right for Every Generation
Grandparents need comfortable seating and accessible pathways. Parents want stress-free coordination. Kids need a safe outdoor space to play. We designed our farm to serve all three at once.
Spaces That Work for Real Gatherings
Our air-conditioned barn seats up to 299 guests with custom farm tables, chandeliers, and twinkling lights. That capacity matters when your list includes extended family, close friends, and everyone in between.
The Bridal Cottage seats 16 to 18 guests with two salon chairs, a large couch, and a crafting table. We added extra natural light because those getting-ready photos matter.
The Groom’s Tack Room has a pool table, a poker table, and a private bar. If your group wants to fish or use our two gun ranges before the event, that’s included in your full-day access.
Service That Adapts
We assign a dedicated designer and coordinator to every family. Unlimited planning sessions mean you bring questions as they arise, not just at scheduled appointments. We collaborate on Pinterest so we understand your vision before setup begins.
Our crew handles all setup and teardown. Your family isn’t hauling decorations or breaking down tables while relatives wait at the hotel.
If you’re serving alcohol, our provided bartender handles all service. We also include glassware, a coffee station, lemonade, teas, and ice. Managing bar service professionally ensures everything runs smoothly and meets insurance requirements.
Food That Honors Your Traditions
Choose from 15 approved catering vendors, including 3 C’s Latam Catering, Norma’s Cuban Cafe, Johnson’s Barbecue, and Heavy’s Food Truck. For quinceañeras, we welcome mariachi and acoustic bands. Your family’s traditions shape the day.
What’s Actually Included
Our Deluxe package covers up to 100 guests (expandable to 299) for six hours. Included: table linens, glassware, china, real linen napkins in gold or silver, centerpieces, custom arch backdrop, aisle décor, ceremony music, officiant, DJ, silk florals, photo booth with unlimited images, professional photographer, cake, and a 14-passenger shuttle to local hotels within 20 minutes.
We also offer a bonfire with s’mores when the weather allows. It often becomes the most talked about part of the night.
How the Farm Gets Used
Our 50 acres include blueberry fields, pastures with cattle, a fountain-fed pond, wildflower gardens, and oak trees. Families use these for photos and to let kids run safely.
You can ride our 16 hand Palomino Quarter Horse to the barn as your entrance. Guests remember it.
We’re 45 minutes from Orlando and Tampa, about an hour from the beaches. Accessible without being crowded.
Events We Handle
Weddings, quinceañeras, corporate gatherings, birthday parties, showers, celebrations of life, and family events. These are moments families plan around and remember.
Our Barn Party Package works for smaller celebrations: four hours, two crew members, a bartender if needed, setup and cleanup, farm tables, photo booth, décor, games, and bonfire. Up to 100 guests.
For quinceañeras, we offer five-hour and seven-hour packages. Both include event design, coordination, the private cottage, décor, professional services, bonfire, cake, and catering. The seven-hour package adds videography and up to six practice sessions for your court.
Practical Information
We’re wheelchair accessible with appropriate restrooms and pathways.
We offer discounts for military families, veterans, teachers, first responders, nurses, Friday weddings, June through September events, bookings within 60 days, and Sunday or weekday celebrations.
You get a complimentary rehearsal and a complimentary bridal suite at Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites through our partnership.

You’ll choose from our 15 approved vendors, ranging from barbecue to Latin cuisine to food trucks. For bar service, outside alcohol is allowed with our bartender service or preferred vendors.
