How the Groom’s Tack Room Sets the Tone for a Relaxed Wedding Day

Creating Connection in Your Celebration Space

The groom’s side of a wedding often gets overlooked in planning, but we’ve learned that where your partner spends the morning shapes the entire day’s energy. Our groom’s tack room at Wishing Well Barn gives them a space that feels nothing like a hotel suite or a borrowed corner. It’s built for relaxation, with access to the outdoors and enough room for the whole crew to settle in without tripping over each other.

The Groom’s Tack Room sets a relaxed tone by giving the groom and groomsmen a dedicated space to spread out, hang out, and stay on site all day. With a pool table, poker table, big screen TV, private bar, and a full shower, the morning feels comfortable instead of rushed, with optional time for fishing or the gun ranges.

The Groom’s Tack Room as a Foundation for Your Wedding Day

The tack room at Wishing Well Barn gives your partner a real space to settle in, not just a corner to wait. Inside, you’ll find a pool table, poker table, big screen TV, and a private bar. There’s a full shower, so the groom or groomsmen can freshen up right before the ceremony without leaving the property. The room holds enough people comfortably that no one feels like they’re waiting in a hallway.

We designed this space after watching grooms pace in cramped prep areas at other venues. Your partner deserves a morning that doesn’t feel like killing time. They can fish the lake, play cards, or just sit with their closest people before walking down the aisle.

How All Day Access Changes the Morning

Your reservation at Wishing Well Barn includes all day access to the farm, which means the groom’s tack room is available from early morning through your six hour event. Your partner’s crew can arrive, spread out, and use the space however they need. Some groups fish, others shoot at the gun ranges. Many just hang out, play pool, and let the nerves settle naturally.

The tack room sits separately from the bridal cottage, so both sides of the wedding party have privacy. Your photographer can move between spaces without either group feeling rushed or crowded. We’ve found that when the groom’s side has its own territory, the whole day flows better.

Why the Lake and Gun Range Matter

The tack room’s direct access to the fishing lake and two gun ranges gives your partner options beyond sitting around. Our team can help you plan timing so outdoor activities fit naturally into the morning. If your partner wants to spend an hour on the water before getting dressed, they can. If the groomsmen want to blow off steam at the range, that’s an option too.

These aren’t add ons you have to negotiate. They’re part of the all day farm access included with your Wishing Well Barn package. The outdoor activities give people something to do with their hands when the energy gets high.

What’s Included with Your Booking

Your Deluxe Wishes Come True Package at Wishing Well Barn covers six hours for the main event, but the tack room and farm property are yours all day. That includes the fully decorated ceremony with a custom arch, aisle décor, officiant, and ceremony music. The reception happens in the air conditioned barn under chandeliers and twinkle lights, with custom farm tables, real linen napkins, china, flatware, and glassware.

We provide bar service with a bartender, coffee station, lemonade, teas, and ice. You’ll choose your caterer from our list of 15 approved vendors, your photographer from eight professionals, your cake from four bakeries, and your DJ from five companies. Full floral design is included, with silk florals standard and real florals optional. Our crew handles setup, service, and cleanup so neither side of the wedding party lifts a finger.

The package also includes a 14 passenger shuttle running between the venue and local hotels within a 20 minute radius, plus a complimentary bridal suite at Marriott Fairfield Inn and Suites through our hotel partnership.

How the Bridal Cottage and Tack Room Work Together

While your partner uses the tack room at Wishing Well Barn, you’ll have the bridal cottage. It seats 16 to 18 guests and offers two salon chairs, a spacious couch and loveseat, a crafting table, refrigerator, champagne glasses, steamers, and flower girl baskets. The natural light works well for getting ready photos.

Both spaces are private but close enough that your wedding coordinator can manage timing between them. You’ll work with our dedicated wedding designer through unlimited planning sessions to map out how the day flows from prep to ceremony to reception.

Planning Sessions That Cover Every Detail

We don’t hand you a checklist and disappear. Your package includes unlimited planning sessions where we’ll walk through logistics, answer questions, and adjust as your vision develops. We collaborate through Pinterest boards and in person walkthroughs. You’ll know exactly how the tack room, cottage, ceremony site, and barn connect before your wedding day arrives at Wishing Well Barn.

Our event coordinator stays with you throughout the six hour event, managing guest flow and handling anything that comes up. The groom’s side gets the same attention as everyone else.

Location and Farm History

Wishing Well Barn is located at 4302 Pippin Road in Plant City, about 45 minutes from Orlando and Tampa, and an hour from the beaches. The farm has been in operation since 1960, originally for cattle ranching and blueberry farming. Blake and Michelle Welch opened the venue after hosting their three sons’ weddings here within one year. The working farm atmosphere is real, and the tack room reflects that authenticity.

Conclusion

If your partner wants a memorable entrance at Wishing Well Barn, they can ride our 16 hand Palomino Quarter Horse up to the barn. Guests notice. We also offer an optional bonfire and s’mores station, weather permitting, which works well after the reception winds down.

We’d love to show you both the groom’s tack room and the bridal cottage so you can see how the spaces work for your wedding day.
